Daily activity:


Thursday: water temp 63.9 ENE 4-6mph in the a.m. / 65.3 SE 9-13mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Steve got a nice Black Drum. A few Whiting were caught.

 

 


Friday: water temp 63.9 E 7-12mph in the a.m. / 64.9 ESE 15-17mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Jose got two Spanish Mackerel on a big Sabiki rig. Black Drum were thick I didn’t get any afternoon report but there had been around 10 caught in the morning. Mike H., Wesley C., Terry H., Travis S., Rob D., and Steve W. were some of the anglers who decked at least one Drum. Brenda managed to get a few Whiting and Spanish Mackerel in the afternoon.

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday: water temp 64.0 SE 12-15mph in the a.m. / 64.8 SE 8-11mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There was one under size Flounder and a Pompano caught.

 

 


Sunday: water temp 63.1 N 11-20mph in the a.m. / 63.3 N 7-12mph. The water was clean. Catches were limited to a few Spanish Mackerel and Flounder.


Monday: water temp 60.4 NNE 8-13mph in the a.m. / 59.7E NE 10-20 by noon then 61.9 N 5-8mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Jack got the only fish I heard about- a Black Drum.

 

 


Tuesday: water temp 60.1 NNE 4-7mph in the a.m. / 59.4 NE 6-10 by 10:30 / 615 W 6-9 in the p.m. The water was clean. There were schools of Spanish Mackerel moving through, Sheepshead on the pilings and a few Red Drum prowling.


Wednesday: water temp 60.4 NNW 9-13mph in the a.m. / 60.4 WNW 9-14mph in the p.m.


Red Tide status: Over the past week, the red tide organism, Karenia brevis, was observed in 20 samples from Florida’s Gulf Coast. Bloom concentrations (>100,000 cells/liter) were observed in four samples from Northwest Florida. In Northwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was observed at background to high concentrations in Bay County, background to very low concentrations in Gulf County, and background concentrations in Franklin County.
